Greetings from the Philippines

September 1, 2009

Besides the Jeepney, the Philippines, just like Indonesia, is also known for various rare occurrences of strangely (and dumbly, I must add) modified rides. Here are some that our overseas readers sent us:

honda_civic_ph

This is probably the most elaborate modification that has ever been done to a Honda Civic, to mimic a jet fighter. Will it win in any dogfight? No.

honda_civic_warp

Designed to beat the USS Enterprise in a quarter mile drag race. Will it win? No.

suzuki_swift_minicooper

The new Mini might be too expensive for some people, but nothing can stop you from having it. But when the cost to turn a Swift into a Mini is added up, the dumbass would probably be better off buying a new Mini.

toyota_corolla_ph

You don’t need a stinkin’ hybrid car when you got this windmill-powered Corolla. Just look at the wheels, they guarantee to produce enough power for you to go from 0-60 in just a little more than 10 minutes.

Facts:
Honda Civic, unknown license plate, Philippines. (MJ)
Honda Civic, unknown license plate, Manilla, Philippines. (TC)
Suzuki Swift, unknown license plate, Pasig City, Phillipines. (TC)
Toyota Corolla, unknown license plate, Manilla, Philippines. (LA)

toyota_yaris_b8211nl

We never know what’s in the mind of these people who decided to mod their cars into a Japanes/Korean/Chinese/Whatever-esque rides, but the funny thing about this car is that it’s not even red.

Nip/Tuck: Yogyakarta

suzuki_esteem_ab8537re

It’s a Honda Civic at the front, and Honda City at the back. But what is this originally? You would never guessed it, because it’s a… Suzuki Esteem.

Facts:
Suzuki Esteem, AB 8537 RE, Grand Racing Autocare, Yogyakarta
