The 16th IIMS: The Good Stuff

July 24, 2008

I bet everybody is waiting for this one, but unlike two years ago – yes we missed the last year’s IIMS – we’re going to treat this one as a two part entry, so people could give their comments out. So, let’s start out with the things we like from this year’s IIMS.

We always liked big cars like Alphards, Elgrands, or Elysions (except that Hyundai H1), and the latest Alphard is no exception. But we do have doubts with the new Vellfire, though. I think it’s a bit unnecessary.

We also liked how the new Fortuner facelift turned out. Now it is more in-tune with the rest of the Toyota SUV line-up.

Here’s a look on its new rear side.

This is the latest Audi A4, you know, the ones with those sexy new headlights. And there’s another subtle-but-cool feature about this car.

It’s the hubcap. This is what you call a truly functional German design. It gives aesthetics, and protects the bolts at the same time. Oh I’m sorry, I don’t believe riceboys have met with the term “functional” yet.

The Nissan Latio concept car. Sorry Nissan fans, but we like the concept much better than the production model.

The Toyota FT-HS. I’m not sure what the production model would look like, but this will suffice for the moment.

This is the second Suzuki Kizashi concept car, if I’m not mistaken. A bit radical, but more subtle compared to what Mazda has to offer with its concept cars recently. The Kizashi is a good combination between the future and elegance.

The Ford Verve probably will carry the design cues for the next generation of Ford cars.

This is what Rifat Sungkar drives nowadays on the rally track. And yes, it’s way cooler than B 1152 DP.

We also got some pictures of what the next generation trucks would probably look like, such as this Hino:

And this Mitsubishi Fuso:

And finally, look who actually participates in the event…

Congratulations, Tongki!

The Countdown is Ticking for New Honda Jazz

June 28, 2008

Several days back, Honda Prospect Motor (the idiotic company that uses Top 1 for their stock lubricant) announced the new Honda Jazz. Yesterday, they put it up on display in Plaza Senayan. Despite the still-quite-the-same SOHC engine, the new Honda Jazz is a good visual upgrade to the one before, leashing out a more aggresive image rather than a cute city car (which is probably the main reason why Indonesian gays like to buy pink Jazzes, or in any other cute color for that matter). I personally like the new design cues that tune in nicely with the new Civic and Accord. It will give a good alternative to buyers to consider between itself, Toyota Yaris, Suzuki Swift, and Nissan Livina (sorry, we don’t consider Korean cars as options).

Since the Honda Jazz is the favorite among riceboys (our JJGJ category stands at 68 posts, which is a lot), our concern is how long until this new Jazz replaces its older sibling as the new rice crown prince? It’s too bad, but we probably could see coming. What do you guys think?

Are We Really That Popular?

ngebut tergila abad ini

Gee… I never knew that they loved us that much that they made a parody! Oh, please do check out the comments, it seems that they thought everybody here is the site’s caretakers, AND they also want to beat the crap out of all of us, caretakers or not…

Now, let me give you one argument… It’s proven that ricers are either dumb, immature, and they don’t do much of a research before bursting out comments. Want some proof? Let me quote some of those comments:

“baru tau gue ada website addmorehp.com….sekumpulan orang yang gak ada kerjaan…dan sirik abis…”

Well, kid, we do have jobs. And if you follow how our site is growing, you might notice that we did this on our FREE TIME.

“yg admin addmorehp.com selain *xingo* sapa lage? ada yg tau?? ato ga membernya…. ketemu dijalan kalo dia lage markir g baretin sini”

And he thought that Xingo is also a caretaker. Sorry, man, you know how they think… They can’t!

“paling enak,, cariin orangnya terus HAJAR SAMPE HANCUR , jangan biarin mati. bikin setengah mati saja.. heuehuhe..”

Another 16-year-old with a cocky penis, “I don’t like you, I’m going to beat the crap out of you, and all your whatever is mine!” He must’ve ejaculated too often.

Molested Foreign Export

I know that it’s against our policy to put up riced up cars modded by non-Indonesians. But this thing really blows that we had to put it on display for reference. Who knows, riceboys could take a glance, have the mod copied and have their cars molested like this, too! So we can get more victims.

Some goofball thought that having a big badass chrome emblem on the fascia is not enough, so he decided to put whatever necessary in… Chrome.

And this would be the first time ever for me to see a GT-Wing on a freakin’ Benz. Two of them.

But nothing really beats the interior… There goes all the elegance.
