All the Lexus in the World
November 18, 2009
You want proof that every single Toyota or Daihatsu is a Lexus? Well, we have proofs right here!

And I believe that this is just a fraction of those many “KESIAN” people out there that thought upscaling their rides is as simple as switching a logo. I’m not sure what that Camry and Land Cruiser owner is thinking, though. Don’t they already have an “upscaled” car?
Facts:
Daihatsu Gran Max, B 1143 SFR, somewhere in Pancoran. (DH)
Daihatsu Terios, B 1257 UC, near Santa Ursula, BSD City. (dos)
Toyota Avanza, B 1443 WZ, somewhere in Cempaka Putih. (KR)
Toyota Camry, B 18 BN, JHCC parking area. (dos)
Toyota Kijang, B 8 TOP, somewhere in Danau Sunter Selatan. (KR)
Toyota Kijang, B 1501 KJ, Grand Indonesia Parking Area. (R)
Toyota Land Cruiser B 3 GD, Bunderan HI. (BI)
Toyota Vios, B 8563 AL, Bintaro Sector 9. (BD)

That’s what I don’t understand about Camry in Indonesia. Camry in here is nothing but a mid-size, plainer-than-vanilla, super boring car. A friend’s parents bought one NEW for US$15k about a year and a half ago. My friend calls it “mobil oom-oom”. Really, you can’t get anymore boring than a Camry.

blame the price. a base spec 2.4 camry G here costs 458.4 million, compared to the states where the 2.4 LE costs around $22k, equivalent to the G in indonesia. back in the states i had an 06 BMW 330i with the sport package, and it costs me around $46-47k, and when i looked at the indonesian price list, the 330i was around 700-800 million. im sure if i were in the states id have a decent garage compared to the one here.

Ah I see. I didn’t realize that a Camry cost that much in Indonesia. The Rp. 458.4 million price tag is approximately 3x the cost of a Camry in the US.
