Car Collection 2008: Toyota Avanza Part II/Daihatsu Xenia (Koleksi ASIX)

April 28, 2008

The Toyota Avanza/Daihatsu Xenia is undoubtedly the second in line when it comes to ricerboy’s ride of choice. With so many of them on the road, and almost each of them is registered to a “certain” club… Some sort of a gay club, perhaps… It’s almost undeniable that these siblings are the successors to those molested Honda Jazzes. We even have a second part for the Car Collection 2008 series, dedicated only for the Avanza/Xenia. So let’s start with the Daihatsu version:

As for this one, it’s probably better known as the skunk. If an Avanza version of this would be the Pepe Le Piu, this would be the Penelope Pussycat. Awww…

This one probably fits as Wolverine’s new ride. It goes along and matches his new uniform in the live action movie.

Autobots, transform and roll out! (insert transformation sound here) And remember… Robots don’t need license plates.

You know what, dude, we don’t even care if your name is Erny Cipto or Bambang Sudjatmiko (fictional name).

I still have logical explanation why someone would turn a decent car into something as fugly as this. Beware, though, it could probably eat you alive.

Here’s another view from the front. That license plate is the only good-looking thing left in this car, so someone would probably steal it if it’s not put behind the cage.

It’s either I’m seeing things, or those are really gigantic sperms attached to the car. And remember, guys, “Apapun mobilnya, velg-nya Fabulous Profound!”

But after everything that we’ve seen above, nothing has ever come close to…

The Mothership. Don’t worry, as seen in the movie, they’re friendly enough. Or at least that’s what they wanted us to believe…

Angkot Flavored Treatment

April 28, 2008

At some point in this blog, I’ve written that riceboys are nothing more than angkot drivers with some more cash to spend. But in reality, the least of these riceboys probably are angkot drivers. Our stereotyping came from the way they dress their cars:

Such as this Daihatsu Espass Turbo… Enough said…

Or this Mobil Sherif Bajingan (Yes, Sherif, and not SHERIFF)… And just like the previous car, it has that “Bullet” bumper guard. I’m not so sure why the dude put it there instead of on the bumper, though…

Or this older Suzuki Carry that has an extensive rear bodywork. It reminds me of those angkots in Anyer. Perhaps it’s formerly one of them…

Facts:
Daihatsu Espass, B 2765 KT, BSD City. (B)
Suzuki Carry, E 1283 P, somewhere in Meruya. (B)
Suzuki Carry, F 1417 WB, somewhere in Bandung. (AR)

Timor Modded and Overclocked

April 28, 2008

If you go to pelitawijaya.com (Yes, it does exist), you will see that it is a PC modding and overclocking shop. So if this dude is the shop’s owner, maybe he does treat cars like PC casings. I wouldn’t say that a Timor have a plate thickness any thicker than a moderate PC casing. After all, it is a kaleng kerupuk.

Facts:
Timor, unknown license plate, somewhere in Waru, Sidoarjo.

False Faith

April 28, 2008

It’s supposed to be “THANK God I Have a Jeep”, not “THANKS God”. And guess what? God gave you a Daihatsu Taft. And in case you don’t know what that is, IT IS NOT A JEEP.

Facts:
Daihatsu Taft, H 8625 AD, somewhere in Bintaro.
